For those who prefer the 1998 SS Style hood over the 1997 SS version...the raised center section is made from hand laid deep resin carbon fiber and provides a stunning accent to the hood. The rest of the hood is made from hi-temp fiberglass that has bee gel-coated in gray and is ready for prep and paint. The red hood pictured shows the style of the 98 SS hood without the carbon fiber. The 2nd photo shows a sample of a carbon fiber blister hood.
